2 Hands 2 Employ believes that any individual who is motivated to build a career and take a leadership role within their community deserves the support to do so.

BACKGROUND

2 Hands 2 Employ is a philanthropic non-profit organization dedicated to training, mentorship and career placement for at-risk individuals. Its goal is to close the opportunity gap in our current employment system, by creating connections between disadvantaged job seekers and charitable-minded employers. 2H2E engaged Thrasher Design Studio to update its logo which felt generic and inadequately represented the organization’s emphasis on building personal and professional partnerships.

SOLUTION

The original logo was not illustrative of employment or career development. It spoke more of charity than self-determination. We took the primary design elements—a heart and two hands—and re-combined them to tell a more authentic story.

The two hands come together in a handshake forming a heart, symbolic of 2H2E’s network of supportive relationships but also that when we approach one another from a place of love, “together we can make a difference.”
